The Malayalam movie telecasts dominate the TRP ratings list in week-15 as well.
The World TV Premiere of Malayalam film, Mamangam, featuring Malayalam superstar Mammootty in the lead role, on Asianet generated a TRP (Impressions) of 2234000. The film has clearly under-performed on TV, as even the repeat telecasts of other films had better viewership impressions than Mamangam. Even the TV Premiere of Malayalam film, Thrissur Pooran, last week on Asianet had a better TRP of 3231000 impressions.

The Malayalam movie telecasts dominate the TRP ratings list this week. Because of the unavailability of the new episodes of Malayalam TV serials due to halting of the shootings caused by the nation-wide lock-down due to COVID-19, the Malayalam TV serials have gone off-air, and the GEC channels resorted to movie telecasts.
The World TV Premiere of Malayalam film, Thrissur Pooran, on Asianet generated a TRP (Impressions) of 3231000.

The viewership impressions of all the Malayalam TV serials have improved this week when compared to the pre-covid19 period viewership data. Kudumbavilakku continues to be in the top position with 6194K impressions. The Malayalam dubbed version of 'Ala Vaikunthapurramloo', 'Angu Vaikuntapurathu', occupies the 5th place with 3504K impressions on Surya TV.
The Malayalam TV programs data for the last two weeks are unavailable due to disruption caused by sudden nationwide lock-down because of COVID-19.

According to the Broadcast Audience Research Council (BARC) TV viewership data, the most watched top Malayalam TV serial with highest TRP ratings this week is Asianet's 'Vanambadi'. 'Vanambadi', which had lost the top spot to 'Neelakkuyil' last week, is back in the 1st place in this week's ratings list. 'Vanambadi' has maintained its viewership impressions from last week, but 'Neelakkuyil' has lost notable impressions this week, which has pushed it back to second place. And, the positions of the other Malayalam TV serials remain unchanged.

According to the Broadcast Audience Research Council (BARC) TV viewership data, the top most watched Malayalam TV serial from 11th January to 17th January 2020 with highest TRP ratings is Asianet's 'Neelakkuyil'. 'Neelakkuyil' is back in the top spot after many weeks, and has replaced 'Vanambadi' to occupy the first position. 'Vanambadi' which had held the top spot for 4 weeks in a row, has conceded the first position to 'Neelakkuyil' this week by a narrow margin.
'Kasthooriman' and 'Mounaragam' occupy the 3rd and 4th position respectively in the TRP ratings list. 'Seetha Kalyanam' has lost its place in the Top 5 list, as 'Bigg Boss' occupies the 5th position this week. And, all the TV serials / programs in the Top 5 TRP ratings are aired on Asianet TV channel, which is the top Malayalam TV channel in terms of viewership.
