Republic TV continues to be the most watched English news channel in India, and it leads the TRP ratings chart by a huge margin over its rival news channels. Republic TV garnered around 5155000 viewership impressions this week. Republic Media Network holds the top positions in both English and Hindi news channels category. Times Now occupies a distant second place with 1554000 viewership impressions.

DD India is back in the top-5 English news channels TRP ratings list again this week after, and currently occupies the 5th spot with 1315K viewership impressions. NDTV 24x7 is out of the top-5 this week.

Republic TV is still the top most watched Indian English news channel, although the viewership impressions have decreased in this week's TRP ratings list when compared to last week's ratings.
Govt. run English news channel DD India has moved-up one position to occupy the 4th spot with 1871000 impressions in this week's BARC ratings list.

Republic TV still leads the English news channels TRP ratings list with 4594000 impressions this week, according to the BARC data for Week 18 of 2020. Times Now has jumped one place to occupy the second position this week, and has a narrow lead over India Today which currently holds the 3rd position.

Note: BARC (Broadcast Audience Research Council) has changed its TG (Target Group) for its reports of English News Channels from Week 17 of 2020. TG from now onwards will be 'All India (Urban + Rural) : NCCS All : 2+ Individuals' instead of the earlier 'All India (Urban + Rural) : NCCS AB : Males 22+ Individuals'. Because the TG has now been broadened, the impressions also show an increase from the previous data.

Arnab Goswami's Republic TV continues to completely dominate the TRP charts week after week. Republic TV is the no.1 Indian English channel this week with 1884000 impressions. The viewership impressions of Republic TV are more than twice of its nearest competitor Times Now.
Times Now is back to its usual second place, after losing it to India Today in last week's ratings list. NDTV is out of the top-5 list, and CNN News18 is back in the top-5 and currently occupies the 4th spot with 508000 viewership impressions.

Arnab Goswami's Republic TV has maintained its top position in the TRP ratings list yet again. Republic TV has 70% more impressions than its nearest competitor. India Today has climbed-up the ratings chart this week, and is currently placed in the 2nd position with 1031K impressions.
Times Now has slipped both in position and TRP rating this week, and currently occupies the 3rd place with 815K impressions. CNN News18 is out of the top-5, and NDTV 24x7 is back in the top-5 this week with 497K TRP impressions.

Ratings of the English news channels, after witnessing a huge surge in their TRPs in the last two weeks, have showed an overall slight dip this week. WION has entered into the Top-5 list this week by replacing BBC World News.

All the English news TV channels have witnessed an amazing rise in their viewership impressions this week, and the prime reason for this rise is the coronavirus outbreak and the subsequent nation lockdown for 21 days to prevent the spread of COVID-19 pandemic. The increase in viewership impressions is not only for the English news channels, but all the other news channels in India have posted a huge rise in their viewership from the last two weeks.
According to the Broadcast Audience Research Council (BARC) TV viewership data, the most watched top Indian English news channel with highest TRP rating is Arnab Goswami's Republic TV with 1962000 impressions this week. Republic TV has been the top ranked English news channel for many months now, and it looks to be in the top position even in the coming weeks. Republic TV has always been a huge TRP earner ever since its inception two years back in May 2017.
Times Now, which was the at the top position when Arnab Goswami was the Chief Editor, has lost its top ranking in the TRP list to Republic TV. Times Now is currently placed in the 2nd position with 1375000 impressions this week, and it has been in the 2nd position for a long time now.
India Today, CNN News18 and BBC World News occupy the 3rd, 4th and 5th positions respectively in the Top 5 English News Channels TRP Ratings List. NDTV has mostly found itself hard to feature in the Top-5 list, but it does edge-out BBC World News sometimes to occupy the 5th spot.
