Opening Note - 'Jawaani Jaaneman' took a decent opening of around ~2.85 crores, which is in line with the pre-release trade expectations. The opening is similar to that of Saif Ali Khan's another film 'Bazaar''s opening, but 'Jawaani Jaaneman' is only slightly better than 'Bazaar'. And, 'Jawaani Jaaneman' has got more screens compared to 'Bazaar'. Also, 'Jawaani Jaaneman' is actor Saif Ali Khan's best opening as a solo lead actor since 'Rangoon', which was released back in February 2017. The film is a pure multiplex movie targeted at the urban movie-going audience. 'Jawaani Jaaneman' should grow on Day 2 by at least 50% to have a chance at the box office. The film has received positive reviews from the critics, and the initial audience word-of-mouth is also on the positive side.
Day 2 (Saturday) Collection Update: 'Jawaani Jaaneman' grew by around ~50% to collect approx 4.25 crores on its second day at the box office, which takes the 2 days total to around ~7.10 crores.
Day 3 (Sunday) Collection Update: The film showed just above 10% growth on Sunday as compared to Saturday. 'Jawaani Jaaneman' collected around ~4.75 crores on Sunday, which takes its 1st weekend box office total to around 11.85 crores. The film should hold well in the weekdays.
Day 4 (Monday) Collection Update: 'Jawaani Jaaneman' witnessed a drop of around ~35% on Monday vis-à-vis Friday. The film collected around ~1.80 crores on its first Monday, which takes the overall 4 days box office total to 13.65 crores.
1st Week Collection Update: 'Jawaani Jaaneman' was pretty steady in the weekdays. The film collected around 18.55 crores in its first week, which is quite decent. With three new films releasing this week, 'Jawaani Jaaneman' should hold tight and score well in the second weekend.
2nd Friday (Day 8) Collection Update: With the new movie releases taking over the screen space, 'Jawaani Jaaneman' fell quite heavily on second Friday. The drop in collections when compared to the previous day is around 60-65%. The film collected around 0.55 crores on Day 8, which takes the overall eight days box-office total to 19.10 crores. This big fall pretty much takes out the possibility of the film emerging-out as a success.
2nd Weekend Collection Update: 'Jawaani Jaaneman' had quite a poor 2nd weekend, as it couldn't hold itself at the box office following the new film releases. The film took a nose-dive on its 2nd Friday, and therefore the subsequent growth on 2nd Saturday and 2nd Sunday gets nullified which leads to an overall flat growth curve at the box office. 'Jawaani Jaaneman' collected around 2.50 crores in the second weekend, which is around 75-80% drop when compared to the first weekend collections. The overall 10 days collection total of the film stands at around 21.05 crores
3rd Weekend Collection: The film collected around 60 lakhs in its third weekend, which takes the overall box-office collection of 'Jawani Janeman' till date to 23.05 crores. The film will breathe its last at the end of its third week as two new movies are waiting for their release this coming Friday.
