Khaidi No. 150 Telugu Movie Review | Exclusive Review

Megastar Chiranjeevi is back with his 150th film 'Khaidi No. 150', after a gap of almost 10 years. Chiranjeevi's last film 'Shankardada Zindabad' was released in July 2007. Khaidi No. 150 is the official remake of 2014 Tamil film 'Kaththi'. Let's find out how the movie is, in this review.

Chiranjeevi plays dual role in Khaidi No. 150. Khaidi No. 150 is the story of Kaththi Seenu, who escapes jail and ends up assuming the role of a leader who fights for the rights of poor and the underprivileged. Kaththi Seenu is a lookalike of Shankar, a local farmer leader. Seenu takes advantage of his exact same looks as Shankar and imposters him to save himself from the Police, and Shankar ends up in prison in place of Seenu. At first, Seenu thinks of duping those people who believe him to be Shankar, but later he genuinely fights for them against a Multinational corporate company, which is snatching the lands from these farmers.

Khaidi No. 150 starts off with a good pace, but it slowly starts losing its pace towards the interval. It gets stagnant at times. Post-interval, it takes its own time to pick up the pace. But it manages to create a nice build-up for an energetic climax, full of fireworks. Apart from a few flashbacks, Khaidi No. 150 pretty much follows a linear narrative.

Along with its main plot, Khaidi No. 150 has a love story, songs and comic relief.  Khaidi No. 150 is a mass entertainer with all masala ingredients added.

Background score by Devi Sri Prasad is pretty effective, especially in the chase and action sequences. And Cinematographer Rathnavelu does a neat job. Acting-wise, Chiranjeevi does a very good job, even after such a long break. There isn't much scope for Kajal Aggarwal's character, but she does a good job playing it. Rest of the cast does a decent job.

Khaidi No. 150 has everything that a Chiranjeevi fan can wish for; over-the-top fight scenes, dynamic dialogues and Chiranjeevi's signature style, dance steps & moves. The 'Boss' is indeed back and he is back with a bang. Khaidi No. 150 is a treat for Chiranjeevi fans. But for others, it may not be that appealing. Still, Khaidi No. 150 is an entertaining film.

Overall, Khaidi No 150 is a delight for his fans, as they get to watch him on screen in a full-fledged role after 10 years. For me, it was another regular masala action entertainer.
