Marjaavaan Critic Reviews & Ratings

Marjaavaan attempts to check all the boxes for an emotional action rollercoaster, but its dated execution doesn’t quite make the kill.

  • CNN News18 | Review By - Rajeev Masand | Rating-1/5
I came away from Marjaavaan bored and exhausted. It’s literally a film with no perceivable merit, and one that begs two key questions: How did this film get made? And why are we being taken for a ride?

Say yes to Marjaavaan at your own peril.

Marjaavaan sucks the joy out of schlock. Stuck in the 80s, it is the throwback you don’t need.

  • The Hindu | Review By - Namrata Joshi | Rating-NA
Marjaavaan is loud, overcooked and overdone. Turgid and tedious it just passes you by, without you caring for anyone or anything on the big screen.

  • Scroll | Review By - Udita Jhunjhunwala | Rating-2/5
At interval point I felt the film had ended, but there was an hour to go and several scenes dedicated to a grief-stricken Malhotra, much was yet to be endured.

The one good thing about Marjaavaan is the Jubin Nautiyal ballad ‘Tum hi Aana’. The rest is bluster and boredom.

  • Rediff | Review By - Sukanya Verma | Rating-1/5
Nothing can salvage the Marjaavaan mess.

When a hero takes too long to be put down, despite being inflicted with multiple jabs and stabs, the pain can translate across the screen.

  • News 18 | Review By - Rohit Vats | Rating-0.5/5
Don’t put your life at risk for just one film. Who knows if it’s named Marjaavaan on purpose!

  • Gulf News | Review By - Manjusha Radhakrishnan | Rating-1.5/5
This is a classic example of a formulaic movie that’s terribly exhausting. Watch this at your own risk.

A few scenes are well written but one wishes this was consistent throughout the film.
