India's Most Wanted; HIT or FLOP?India's Most Wanted Box Office Collection
Arjun Kapoor's latest film, 'India's Most Wanted', got off to a poor start at the box office. The film collected just around ~2 crores on its first day at the box office. The first day collections are exactly as we had predicted before the release of the film. The film released alongside the political biography, 'PM Narendra Modi', and the Hollywood release 'Aladdin'. And, both 'PM Narendra Modi' and 'Aladdin' fared better at the box office than 'India's Most Wanted'.
Arjun Kapoor, after the box office debacle of 'Namaste England' would have hoped for a better opening, but this start is not even encouraging. The film was dubbed as an action-thiller, but according to the reports, the film has very less action sequences to be called an action film, and is too boring to be called a thriller. The trailer didn't evoke much response from the people, and the filmmaker's efforts to create buzz through social media also hasn't worked to the desired levels. So, obviously the response was quite cold at the box office. Multiplexes were comparatively better than the single screens on Day 1.
The film opened to mixed reviews from the critics, and the audience word-of-mouth isn't very good, going by our initial ground reports from the cinemas.
