Good rise in collections on SaturdayBharaate Day 2 Box Office Collection
The action-drama film, 'Bharaate', starring 'Roaring Star' Sri Murali of 'Ugramm' and 'Mufti' fame, saw a good rise in collections on its second day at the Kannada Box Office. 'Bharaate' was the only comparatively big Kannada film at the box office this Friday, and had a decent-good opening on its first day. Even though the advance ticket booking for Day 2 was less than Day 1, the spot bookings/walk-ins were notably more on 2nd Day. In Bangalore, the film had around 10% seats advance booked from 265 shows on Day 1 on the night before release (at the time of our report: 11PM, 17 Oct); and on Day 2, 'Bharaate' had around 7% seats advance booked from 265 shows (at the time of our report: 11PM, 18 Oct). But, because of the increase in on-day booking and spot ticket sales on Saturday, the 2nd day occupancy specially in the late-afternoon and the evening shows were considerably more than Friday. Looking at the trend, the occupancies in the night shows should also increase, also because tomorrow is a Sunday holiday.
Overall, 'Bharaate' should see at least 25-30% growth in its collections on Day 2 (See the update below). UPDATE: Bharaate actually saw a slight dip in its collections on Day 2 vis-à-vis Day 1 corresponding to its slight decrease in advance bookings on Day 2 from Day 1. There could've been growth on Day 2, but, the audience response to the film was mixed, and so is the critical reception. 'Bharaate' had collected around an estimated ~1.50 crores on Friday, and the Saturday collections are around ~1.15 crores. The total box office collection of 'Bharaate' so far is around ~2.65 crores.

'Bharaate' is directed by Chetan Kumar, who previously directed films like 'Bahaddur' and 'Bharjari'. Actress Sree Leela who debuted with AP Arjun's Kannada film 'Kiss', plays the female lead in this film.
