Baaghi 3 Trailer Review | Analysis

The third installment of the successful action film franchisee, 'Baaghi 3', is all set to hit the screens in summer of 2020. Both the earlier Baaghi films were big successes, and the third installment looks to go even bigger. The official trailer of 'Baaghi 3' has been released. The film features actor Tiger Shroff in the lead role, who is the face of the 'Baaghi' film franchisee.

'Baaghi 3' trailer is 3 minutes 41 seconds long. The trailer starts with Tiger Shroff' s voice-over, which says "people cross their limits for relationships, I had one such relationship for which I crossed the borders!". Tiger Shroff plays the character of Ronnie. The trailer then introduces us to Tiger Shroff's brother, Vikram (Riteish Deshmukh). Vikram is a police officer, but he is not the bravest out there. The trailer tells us that Vikram gets cared like a small kid, by his brother, even in his adult life. Vikram always screams his brother's name whenever he is in trouble, and Ronnie comes to his rescue.

Going by the trailer, Vikram looks like he is slightly mentally retarded and also physically weak, but has somehow joined the police force! Later, Vikram goes to Syria for some work, where  he gets 'Taken' in typical 'Taken' style. Ronnie is now on the mission to rescue his little brother from Syria, but he doesn't go alone, he takes his arm candy Siya (Shraddha Kapoor) along as his cheerleader. Now that Ronnie has his excuse to showcase his fighting skills, he goes on a rampage doing what he does best.

Shraddha Kapoor makes a come-back to the 'Baaghi' series, and she plays the role of Ronnie's love interest, a girl who apparently swears too much, and she voluntarily adds 'beep' to her swear-words (the trailer suggests that it's very cute!). And, looks like there isn't much for her to do in this film apart from being Ronnie's babe.

The best thing about 'Baaghi 3' trailer is undoubtedly Tiger Shroff. The man showcases his unmatchable action skills and talent and lifts the trailer to totally another level on his own. The action sequences look well-choreographed, be it the bare hand fights or the ones involving guns, other weapons and automobiles. But, the special effects looked pretty cheap and tacky, not what I expected. And, looks like Shraddha Kapoor and Ritiesh Deshmukh's characters are going to add comic elements to an otherwise out-and-out action-drama.

The story is a predictable one, and the main theme of the story resembles the 2008 English language film 'Taken'. But, if the film gets its narration right, which could keep the audience engaged and entertained, then the predictability of the story may not be of much issue. But, I personally, expected a better trailer and a better story. This is regular recycled typical action flick storyline without any novelty, and looks like, not much efforts went into the writing. And, the cinematography was good.

Nonetheless, the film will reach its target audience, and mostly will be another huge success for Tiger Shroff and 'Baaghi' franchisee.
