Baaghi 3 Screen Count as on Day 1

Total Screens - Around an estimated ~4400 screens all across India.

'Baaghi 3' was the biggest release of the week, and it was pretty much a solo-release at the box office, as the only other film this week, 'Kaamyaab', was a very small-scaled release. 'Baaghi 3' is also actor Tiger Shroff's widest release till date, in terms of the screen count. 'Baaghi 2' was released in around 3500 screens, and his recent film 'War' was released in around 4000 screens.

Verdict - Flop.

Baaghi 3 Box Office Notes

Opening Note - 'Baaghi 3' has taken a good opening at the box office, although the opening is quite below the expectations, it is still pretty good. 'Baaghi 3' is the best opening film of the year 2020, however it has been only two months into 2020. The film saw a very wide release in around 4400 screens in India, which is the film's lead actor's widest release till date. But, Tiger Shroff's biggest release in terms of screen count is not his biggest film in terms of the opening day collections. 'Baaghi 2', which was released in around 3500 screens, had collected 25 crores on Day 1. And, as evident, 'Baaghi 3' is quite far behind 'Baaghi 2' with respect to Day 1 collections. 'Baaghi 3' is Tiger Shroff's 3rd highest opening day figure behind 'War' and 'Baaghi 2'. 'Baaghi 3' opened to negative reviews from the critics, but the initial audience word-of-mouth is quite mixed.

Day 2 Saturday Collection: 'Baaghi 3' suffered a drop on Saturday, while ideally it should have grown on Day-2. Collections were already below the expected levels on Friday, but were still good; but the drop on second day shows the film's negative trending at the box office, and also shows the not-so-positive audience word-of-mouth. The film dropped by around 6%, as it collected only approx 14.35 crores on Saturday. Looking at the current trend, 'Baaghi 3' might find it difficult to sustain after the holiday weekend. The overall two days collection stands at around 29.60 crores.

Day 3 Sunday Collection: The Sunday collections have salvaged the film somewhat, after the undesirable drop in collections on Saturday. 'Baaghi 3' has witnessed around 20-25% rise in its box-office collections on Sunday as compared to Saturday. If we compare the Sunday collections to Friday, the increase on Sunday is just about 15%. The growth on Sunday is just a face-saver for the film and nothing more. 'Baaghi 3' collected around 17.50 crores on Day-3, which takes its first weekend total to around 47.10 crores.

Day 4 Monday Update: 'Baaghi 3' dropped by almost 50% on its first Monday vis-à-vis Friday, as it collected around 7.75 crores on Day-4. The 4 days total collection stands at around 54.85 crores.

Day 5 Tuesday Collection: 'Baaghi 3' made good use of the Holi holiday on Tuesday to post a good box office total. The film grew by around 45-50% on its fifth day when compared to Monday, as it collected around 11.50 crores. The overall five days total collection of 'Baaghi 3' stands at 66.35 crores.

1st Week Collection Update: 'Baaghi3', after staying steady in the weekdays till Wednesday because of the Holi holiday, has fallen by around 30-35% on Thursday vis-à-vis Wednesday. This fall is significant, and is due to multiple factors. Along with the film's mediocre quality and the mixed audience word-of-mouth, the corona-virus scare is beginning to affect the film. 'Baaghi 3' collected around 4.85 crores on Thursday, and the first week total of the film stands at 78.30 crores domestic net. With theatres in the states of Delhi, Kerala and J&K closing-down due to COVID-19, the collections are further going to be affected in the coming days, which is not a good sign for 'Baaghi 3'.

Baaghi 3 2nd Friday Collection: The film suffered close to 60% drop on its second Friday as compared to Thursday. The fall in collections on Day-8 can be attributed to the corona-virus scare all-over India. With cinemas being shut for weeks in more than 10 states from today onwards, there is no hope for 'Baaghi 3' at the box-office in the coming days. This is a tragic ending for the film, which could've otherwise collected a lot more till the end of this month. 'Baaghi 3' is now heading towards a 'Flop' verdict at the box-office.

2nd Weekend Collection: 'Baaghi 3's collections dropped heavily in its second weekend due to gradual closure of cinema halls across the country to check the spread of the novel corona-virus. Till date, theatres have been closed in more than 20 states, and more states are expected to join soon. 'Baaghi 3' collected around 5.75 crores in its 2nd weekend, which is more than 85% drop compared to the first weekend. The 10 days total box office collection stands at 84.05 crores.

2nd Week Collection: With the theatres closing all across India due to the spread of coronavirus, 'Baaghi 3' collections came to a standstill in the weekdays of second week, and the film could only add 20 lakhs to its already low 2nd weekend total. 'Baaghi 3's 2nd week collection is close to 6 crores, and the overall box office collection till date is around 84.25 crores. We have to wait to see if the film starts to run again in significant number of screens once the cinemas re-open or will the new big releases waiting to release push 'Baaghi 3' to a corner with very limited screens. It is going to be a long time before the cinemas reopen, and a significant number of weeks will be lost resulting in crowding of the films at the box office.
