Luka Chuppi is a fun ride that never gets too preachy or uncomfortable for the family audience. It’s a clean entertainer with a message that’s not too loud, but clear, for sure.

The film is simply not funny for the most part. It’s allegedly a comedy but it delivers at best a handful of decent laughs, all in the second half.

This could have been a fun, sharp film, done right. But the writing and the treatment is so slack that the intent rises to the surface only occasionally.

Kartik Aaryan walks into a picture of a similar genre, with hardly a story, let alone a screenplay, and you can watch the same actor, looking dumbfounded, fumbling all over the frickin' place - much like his film.
