Panipat is dull on its TV debut.Panipat World TV Premiere TRP Rating
'Panipat', the historical war action drama film featuring actors Arjun Kapoor and Kriti Sanon in the lead roles with Sanjay Dutt playing the negative role of an Afghan King named Ahmed Shah Abdali, made its television debut on Saturday 29 February 2020, which is more than three months from its initial theatrical release. The film was released at the Bollywood box-office on 6 Dec 2019. 'Panipat' was a Flop at the box office.
'Panipat's first TV broadcast was done on Zee TV network's flagship movie channel, Zee Cinema. The movie was allotted the prime-time slot of 8 p.m on Saturday. On its TV premiere, 'Panipat' clashed with 'Marjaavaan', which was also telecasted simultaneously with 'Panipat' on another channel. 'Marjaavaan's World TV Premiere was also scheduled on the same day and same time on Sony Max. 'Marjaavaan' scored significantly better than 'Panipat' in this clash of the World TV Premieres. 'Panipat's viewership was no better than the repeat telecasts of the relatively older Hindi dubbed southern films.

On its World TV Premiere, 'Panipat' generated a dull response from the TV audience. According to the Broadcast Audience Research Council (BARC), 'Panipat' could only accumulate around 33.91 lakh viewership impressions on its first telecast on Zee Cinema. The film was poor on TV like it was at the box office. May be 'Panipat' could've done better, had it not clashed with 'Marjaavaan' on TV.
